'LIBRENG GUPIT' in Malacañan

Salon Owners & Hairdressers Association Incorporated, an organization composed of the leading salon chains in the country - Piandre Salon, David's, Regine's, Salon de Manila, and Jesi Mendez brought together 50 hairdressers to cut the hair of over 400 Malacañan employees in commemoration of the birthday of Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

All SSMI staff jam-packed to Tagaytay this June for a 3-day annual retreat with Fr. Ted of the Jesuits. It was perfect timing for everyone to learn about the 'Agimat' as deemed essential in facing today's crises situations. This pondering moment revealed each one's confidence in surpassing difficulties through fervent hope, holding up to personal strengths, being productive in dealing problems as part of the solution, taking part in nation-building and building character and excellence.

Basketball

Sunday, July 24, 2005 marked the opening of the 'Shoot for Health' -- a traditional Basketball Tournament organized by SSMI among it's employees as one of the health advocacies of the company. The SSMI's CEO, Ms. Linda Francisco, highly promotes the well-being and camaraderie of all staff in a positive form to help maintain excellent performance level in the workplace.

This year's seven play-offs are held at the Fortuna Sports Complex with four competing teams namely: Wella, Sebastian, Davines, and L'Oreal being the major sponsors of the event. Charming muses ushered the parade of teams with resounding cheers of the salon staff from the audience stadium. Everyone mulls over who could be this year's team champ?
